I got served!

I got Served people.............

Sorry, this is another selling story.... so bare with me if you will.

I was signing up a lady for our pest control service, she invited me in her house to fill out the paper work. When we were all done, I was just about to say, "okay well we'll see you tomorrow at 10".... then she asked me something that pierced my ear drums............ "do you know anything about Mary Kay products?".... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I ran right into her trap... there was no way out of this one, she had me cornered between a rock and a hard place. I'm sorry but I have NEVER had a good experience with a Mary Kay sales reps.... but what could I do... she JUST signed up for pest control... I had no choice but to say I'd go to one of the cult parties.... luckily I later found out that the party was right during work so there was no way I could make it. hallllllllllleluiah... halleluiah haaallleeelllluuuuuuuuuuuiah!! but I wan't in the clear as of yet.... I tried everything under the sun to get out of it... I told her I'd just purchase something and we didn't need to worry about getting together... I DO need some face sunscreen out here.. but she wasn't having any of it... she has called me everyday for the last week to get together... I buckled... I'm currently bloggin WHILE waiting for her to come show me the billions of products... this should be interesting.... Pray that I will have the strength to
"Just Say NO!"

Bless their crazy little hearts but I can't stand those Mary Kay-ettes. I don't think I've ever given them my real phone number... whoops!

I think the best idea is right in the middle of her sales pitch or whatever just pretend to fall asleep. And just stay that way. She'll leave... eventually.

THat is so funny. Gotta love mary kay. You what I would say to Mary Kay people? I would tell them my skin is really senstive and I can only use certain things for my face and stuff. It worked everytime. Meg it was so good talking to you the other day! I miss you so much! I'm glad things are going good. Call me anytime you're bored and vice versa. I love you girly!

Definiately a modeling career in the works. Good luck with Mary Kay, I hope you were able to say no, she's pretty smart. You are awesome Megan! If I was selling I pretty much would cry every time someone shut the door on me. You go girl!

What is with these crazy Mary Kay Mary's??? What do they teach them at these conferences of theirs....to neglect any sort of social courtesy and norm and just twist our arms until we buy their pink products? Though I do have to say, sometimes i do get jealous of their pink cadillacs.

Ok, I totally know what you mean! I don't know if I told you this, but I have been out at the corn stand for the last of the summer---and these two ladies came and got heaps and heaps of melons and then at the end when the one lady was writing me a check (and this seemed flawless, perfectly rehearsed...) the other lady came up to her and said "you know what? She (referring to poor, stuck in a corner me) has been soooo helpful, you give her your card and make sure she gets a free facial! She made sure to let me know that it was an $125 facial normally, and before I could blink - she was handing me a card and a pen to put down my phone number. I couldn't think fast enough, so I wrote down my real phone number. The next day she was calling telling me how excited they were to pamper me.....
